STEP 1: PREGNANCY TEST
Schedule a free urine pregnancy testing appointment with a licensed medical professional.

STEP 2: GET AN ULTRASOUND
An ultrasound helps determine if the pregnancy is located in the uterus or ectopic, how far along you are, whether it is viable, and if there are signs of a possible miscarriage.
What if my test is positive?
Testing positive on a home pregnancy kit is a common first step. We are here for the next step.
Licensed medical staff will provide you with accurate medical information and answer any questions you might have on abortion, adoption, and parenting. If you test positive for pregnancy at our center, we can also perform an ultrasound and STI testing on-site at no cost to you.
- If pregnancy verification is needed for the application for benefits (WIC and Badger Care) we can provide immediate results.
- We discuss the results with you so you can make an informed choice.
How soon will an at-home test show I’m pregnant?
Home tests claim to be most accurate as soon as the first day of your missed period-and some tests may detect earlier.
What if my test is negative?
Wait a day or two and then take another test.
Why wait to take a test?
After fertilization and then implementation, the placenta forms and produces the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). This hormone then enters your bloodstream and urine. As the pregnancy progresses, the HCG concentration doubles every two to three days. The pregnancy test detects the HCG, thus indicating a positive test result. The more days you wait, the higher the concentration of HCG.
